The 2013 Tour de France, the 100th edition of the event, begins on Saturday from the Mediterranean island of Corsica. The year’s tour will have 22 stages, held through June 29 to July 21, beginning at Porto Vecchia and ending at the Champs-Élysées in Paris.

The tour will cover a total distance of 3,404 kilometres this year.
